What Are Skin Tags?

Skin tags (acrochordons) are small, soft, benign (non-cancerous) growths that often sit on a thin stalk. They’re usually flesh-coloured or slightly darker, and commonly appear in areas where skin rubs against skin or clothing—such as the neck, armpits, eyelids, under the breasts, and the groin.

They’re very common and generally harmless, but many people choose removal due to irritation, snagging, bleeding, or cosmetic concerns. During your consultation, our medical team will confirm the diagnosis and advise the most appropriate removal method for the size, number, and location of your lesions.

Minor redness or scabbing may occur for a few days. Treated areas should be kept clean and protected from sun exposure. Our medical team will provide aftercare instructions to minimise scarring and promote proper healing. Multiple tags or lesions may be treated in one session upon assessment.
