Our medical team typically uses a blunt-tipped cannula (rather than a sharp needle) for this procedure. The cannula is inserted through a small entry point near the cheek and gently guided to place tiny amounts of the specialised HA filler deep along the tear trough groove, just above the bone. This technique minimises the risk of bruising and vascular complications. The procedure takes about 30-45 minutes.

Improvement in the under-eye hollows is often visible immediately, though some swelling or potential bruising can occur.
